Compared with conventional laser processing, water guided laser processing requires no focusing, causes virtually no thermal damage to workpieces, delivers near‑zero taper on cut profiles, achieves superior cut‑surface quality and minimizes workpiece loss.

The WGL3‑150 consists of two major assemblies: the machine bed and the auxiliary cabinet.

The main machine bed features a marble tabletop. Linear motors are adopted for the X/Y axes, with an optional rotary axis. The coupling head for water‑light coupling is mounted on the Z‑axis.

The auxiliary cabinet mainly comprises a water purifier, booster pump and laser source. The water purifier supplies ultrapure water; the booster pump pressurizes the ultrapure water to 10‑50 MPa; the laser source provides energy for processing.

Part of Machinable Materials

  • Superhard material: chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond, natural diamond (ND), cemented carbide (WC), polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN)
  • Metal material: contains almost all types of metal on the market
  • Ceramic material: silicon carbide (SiC), aluminum nitride (AlN), alumina (Al2O3), zirconia (ZrO2), low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC)
  • Composite material: Silicon Carbide Matrix Ceramic Composites (CMC), Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composites (CFRP)

Equipment Advantages

  • Fast coupling patented coupling technology, the coupling operation is simple and accurate, and the nozzle can be as small as 20μm in diameter.
  • Consumables Durable self-developed nozzle manufacturing process, 50 m nozzle normal service life of more than one month.
  • Collision protection can set the "protection exclusion zone" to reduce the maintenance time caused by the collision.
  • Breakpoint Continue is accidentally stopped, the processing can be continued from the original position without wasting the workpiece.
  • High precision bed dependent design and inspection of the bed, dynamic and static stiffness through finite element analysis and measurement.
  • Multi-axis expansion more than ten years of experience in five-axis CNC systems and hardware, supporting five-axis applications and upstream and downstream automation.
